Our goal at The Beaumont Med Spa is to offer you a safe and effective weight loss strategy, customized to your own personal needs and goals.

We do offer GLP-1s (Tirzepatide and Semaglutide) as well as additional weight loss peptides, lipotropics, supplementation, and low dose naltrexone (LDN). We focus on a comprehensive approach, at times “stacking” peptides instead of relying on one medication for weight loss.

We focus on the body as a whole, ensuring that you remain healthy during your weight loss journey. At times this could mean repeat lab testing, genetic testing, nutritional counseling and/or additional supplementation.

Not all weight loss is the same, and this is why it is so important to focus on the single number on the scale. As you lose weight, we also watch your metabolic rate, body fat percentage, and muscle mass with body composition testing. These are critical to ensure you are losing the right weight in a healthy manner so that results are able to be maintained long term.

Semaglutide & Tirzepatide

Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are peptides that have gained huge popularity over the past couple of years. These medications are classified as glucagon like peptide (GLP-1) receptor agonists, as they work to mimic an incretin hormone we have naturally in our bodies. Incretin hormones are gut peptides that are released by the digestive tract, typically after eating, to stimulate insulin secretion from the pancreas and decrease glucagon secretion.

Semaglutide and Tirzepatide can work to help reduce blood sugar while slowing down how quickly food leaves your stomach (delayed gastric emptying). This process helps your body stay fuller longer, leading to decreased food intake. Overtime, less caloric intake and less insulin resistance leads to weight loss.

Function of GLP-1s:

  • Delays in gastric (stomach) emptying (feeling of fullness and satisfaction with smaller meals)

  • Slows intestinal motility

  • Improves glycemic control and lowers blood glucose (blood sugar) levels

  • Stimulates insulin secretion by pancreas

  • Reduces appetite and food cravings

Where Semaglutide works specifically as a GLP-1, Tirzepatide has an additional function with GIP, which is an additional component that also modifies how our body utilizes fat. It is typically more effective with fewer side effects in comparison. These dual GIP/GLP-1 agonists have demonstrated better glucose control and weight loss compared to selective GLP-1 receptor agonists in preclinical and clinical trials. Studies with tirzepatide have shown a 15% reduction in body weight when accompanied by calorie restriction and moderate exercise. Studies have also shown tirzepatide to improve biomarkers and be cardioprotective.

Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are prescription medications that should be monitored and prescribed appropriately. As with any medication, there are subsequent risks that at times can outweigh the risks. At The Beaumont Med Spa, we ensure you are even the right candidate for these medications, as there are some contraindications to use. We offer consultation with comprehensive lab analysis prior to initiating therapy to identify and manage qualifying patients. If you have had lab work completed within the last 6 months, we are happy for you to bring these with you for us to review.

SIRT-1 Activators

SIRT-1 activators are compounds that work specifically on SIRT-1 receptors in the body to control cell signaling to improve fat oxidation and mitochondrial density, enhance the internal antioxidant system and decrease inflammation. These compounds mimic the same pathways associated with exercise and calorie restriction. They also work to enhance glucose control, fat loss, and energy.

Benefits may include:

• Improves endogenous NAD+ Utilization
• Caloric restriction mimetic
• Exercise mimetic
• Guard against oxidative stress
• Increase fat oxidation
• Decrease Insulin resistance
• Increase cholesterol metabolism

Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

LDN is a prescription medication that help aid in a multitude of conditions such as:

- [ ] Lupus

- [ ] Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)

- [ ] Hashimoto’s thyroiditis

- [ ] Ulcerative colitis & Crohn’s Disease

- [ ] Fibromyalgia

- [ ] PCOS

Excess weight

Growing evidence has demonstrated that our natural endorphins, most commonly known as our natural, pain-killers, also play an important role in immune system regulation among other functions. LDN helps improve endorphin release.

It works to also suppress inflammation, control appetite, and improve sleep!

It is typically well tolerated, inexpensive, and minimal exclusions for use.

It is a favorite treatment option for our patients aiming for PCOS control, insulin resistance, weight loss, and our Hashi patients!

IN BODY: Body Composition Analyzer

You are more than just a number on a scale.

Body composition is essential in monitoring a patient’s progress, especially during a weight loss journey. One of the biggest things to remember: not all weight loss is good. Losing too much muscle or weight too rapidly can lead to sarcopenia (muscle loss), a slower metabolism, and ultimately risk for rebound weight gain. We optimize treatment plans and track outcomes at the cellular level with this comprehensive monitoring.

Optimizing Results

We maintain a comprehensive approach, because we understand that a weight loss journey is more than taking one medication hoping for desired results. Beyond the medications and supplements we also encourage you to:

  • Manage stress

  • Focus on good sleep/rest Increase water intake

  • Improve nutrition, watching caloric and macro intake, offering nutritional support and goals

  • Exercise, including weight lifting

Additional Options

We also offer additional weight management therapy programs other than semaglutide or tirzepatide.
